Summer journeys to Niagara
and to other places
Aggravate all our cares,
We'll save our fares.
 
I've a cozy flat in
What is known as old Manhattan
We'll settle down
Right here in town.
 
We'll take Manhattan,
The Bronx and Staten Island, too.
It's lovely going through
The zoo.
 
It's very fancy,
On old Delancey street you know.
The subway charms us so
When balmy breezes blow,
To and fro.
 
And tell me what street
Compares with Mott street
In July.
Sweet pushcarts gently gliding by.
 
The great big city's a wondrous toy,
Just made for a girl and boy
We'll turn Manhattan
Into an Isle of joy.

A blanket of butter
On golden wheat toast
A splash of cream in her coffee.
She organizes books by the colour of their spines
And categorizes her clothes.
 
She only wears scarves with prints of floral
and only does she wear dainty clothes.
She lines up her shoes all along the wall
and makes sure they're all squeaky clean.
 
Her skin light as milk
Her cheeks round and rosy
Her eyes like big drops of sky.
Her lips are as rosy
As a midsummer sunset,
Her voice sweet and soft like a peach.
 
She eats her toast like a queen
And she carries her books like a teacher.
She wears her shoes of Vanilla cream
And she'll light up your day when you meet her.

Skies of blue,
Air so cold,
Trees are bare,
Leaves are old.
 
Lace up your boots,
put on your sweater,
roll up your socks,
it's colder weather.
 
Wrap up your scarves,
look at the snow,
Light up the fire,
Let your hair grow.
 
Curl up in bed,
read a good book.
Warm up your head,
Crawl up in your nook.
 
Sculpt all the snow,
Collect all the news,
Keep your chin up,
during the winter blues.

The world without adventure is a sad place, and adventure without a companion is a lonely experience.

One who thinks religion and politics are identical is a fool.
